Mission

To support parents in fulfilling their role as primary educators of their children by providing a curriculum from the classical tradition of the Roman Catholic Church, taught in small classes by teachers committed to Catholic orthodoxy at a reasonable cost.

History

Families and individuals of like minds saw the need to provide our community with a school to classically educate children while safeguarding the truths of the Catholic faith. This social setting provides the children an opportunity to form their whole person...spiritually, academically, socially, physically and emotionally. Anchor Academy was founded in 2005 and began classes in September of that year with 23 students andfourteachers. Since that time, our enrollment in kindergarten through eighth grade has been growing each year and the faculty has more than doubled. Classes this year are grouped as follows: Kindergarten, first and second, third and fourth, fifth and sixth, seventh and eighth. The school is headed by a board of trustees. Mrs. Mary Giordano is the school Principal

Classes currently meet at the George Washington Carver Community Center in Norwalk, Connecticut. The school’s full time teachers have undergraduate degrees from Catholic colleges such as Christendom College and the University of Dallas.
